| Amoureux du chant tzigane et de la musique tzigane OPUS 4 s'est formé en 1997 dans le midi de la France.
OPUS 4 ressuscite les trésors du folklore russe, roumain ou tzigane, avec quelques emprunts au jazz pur et dur,dressant un pont musical astucieux entre les deux rives de l'Atlantique.
Inspirés par leurs origines slaves,dont on peut goûter le swing et la joie de vivre, les musiciens invitent le public à un voyage dans le patrimoine nomade des tziganes.....un dépaysement grisant. (Télérama)

LES MUSICIENS |
Serge, né de père musicien et de mère chanteuse russe, commence la guitare à 14 ans.A 15 ans, il est engagé à "la grande Séverine" à la contrebasse Balalaika auprés de Marc de Loutchek, fondateur du groupe"Balalaika ensemble". En 1968,ce groupe est engagé par Ivan Rebroff. Serge l'accompagne depuis plus de vingt ans. Il s'est produit à ses côtés dans le monde entier, souvent dans des salles de prestige tel que le Carnégie Hall , le Philarmonique de Berlin , le Royal Albert Hall...
Il a enregistré auprès de Yul Brinner son seul et unique album et par ailleurs des disques pour Aliocha Dimitrievitch et de nombreux artistes du milieu tzigane.Propriétaire d' un cabaret « La Roue Fleurie » à Paris, haut lieu de la musique tzigane et du jazz manouche de 1985 à 1990 où se produisaient à ses côtés Raphaël Fays et Angelo Debarre. « La roue Fleurie » était le point de rencontre de tous les musiciens tziganes de Paris et d'ailleurs. Des musiciens comme Boulou ferret, Marc Fosset, Patrick Saussois venaient "faire le boeuf".

Piotr débute le violon à l'âge de 8 ans.
Il enchaîne à 12 ans avec l'alto.
A 13 ans il commence à faire ses premières prestations.
A 16 ans il devient professionnel et joue dans l'orchestre du théâtre de musique de Gdansk.
Parallèlement il joue de la batterie dans divers groupes de variétés et dixieland.
En 1982 il arrive en France, il passe le concours d'entrée à l'Orchestre National du théâtre de Tours,il y restera 4 ans.
En 1984, il s'installe à Paris et joue avec différents artistes dont: Rachel des Bois, Mulator.
En 1994 , il travaille 3 ans avec le groupe Arbat dans le cadre des J.M.F dans toute la France.
En 1997, il se joint au groupe OPUS 4

Bruno a commencé la guitare à 12 ans.
Après ses études il devient représentant de commerce. A 26 ans, il part aux Etats-Unis étudier à Berklee College (Boston) et obtient le Diploma...
De 1987 à 1992, il accompagne le chanteur Djuri, propriétaire d'un cabaret de musique. En 1997 il rejoint OPUS 4 comme bassiste.

Pierre commence la guitare à 12 ans en jouant du rock and roll et du Fingers Picking. A 19 ans, il découvre la musique d'Europe Centrale et depuis il a joué et enregistré avec différents musiciens tziganes et russes connus par les amateurs de ce folklore : La chanteuse tzigane Raya, le balalaikiste tzigane Petro Ivanovitch, la chanteuse russe Biélka,Tzar le magnifique trio composé de Nicolas Kedroff à la balalaika et Oleg ponomarenko au chant,le groupe de musique et chant juif et kleizmer Adama. Il a également joué et enregistré avec la chanteuse Polonaise Anna Prucnal et aussi avec le guitariste flamenco Manel Delgado dans le groupe Airé.

The band OPUS 4 was born in 1997 in south of France near by Saint Tropez.
OPUS 4 turns the russian,roumanian,and gipsy folk songs in a new way,building a gate between the two borders of the atlantic ocean.
Inspired by their easternroots and swing music.
they invite the audiance to make a tour into the gipsy lands and Django Reinhardt style.
Serge is born in a familly of musicians. At the age of 14 he started to play guitar.At the age of 15 he was hired as a bass player in russian cabaret located in Paris and called "La Grande Séverine".There he met Mark de Loutchek who create the "Balalaika Ensemble". In 1968 the "Balalaika Ensemble" was hired by the russian singer Ivan Rebroff . Serge plays with him for twenty years now. he went on tour with Ivan Rebroff all over the world and most in the time in very famous theaters like: Carnegie Hall Royal Albert Hall... He recorded the one and only disk of Yul Brinner and many CDs for artists coming from gipsy world such as Aliocha Dimitrievitch. He was the owner of a parisian cabaret "La Roue Fleurie" from 1985 to 1990 where artists like Raphael Fays, Angelo Debarre, were currently performing. La Roue Fleurie was the "Rendez vous" of the gipsies from Paris.

Piotr started to play violin when he was 8 years old.
Did his first gigs when he was 13 and plaid as a professionnal musician when he was 16 years old.
Beside the violin he plays also drums in the Gansk theater,top 40's bands and jazz bands.
In 1982 he moves to France (Tours) and he hired to play violin in the National Orchestra of that city for a period of 4 years.
In 1987 he moves to Paris to meet others musicians and in many gigs and concerts.(Rachel des Bois,Mulator)
In 1994 he plays with the band Arbat an goes on tour in France during 3 years.
In 1997 he joined OPUS 4.

Bruno started to play guitar when he was 12 years. After school graduation he started to make a living upon buiseness.He was 26 years old when he went to Berklee colledge of music,and graduate with a diploma. From 1987 to 1992 he performed with the singer Djuri owner of the Gipsy cabaret located in Saint Germain des prés. In 1997 he joined OPUS 4 as a bass player.

Pierre started to play guitar when he was 12 years old playing Rock and Roll and Finger picking Style. At the age of 19 he find a new interest into the music of Eastern Europe and he recorded compact disks with many artists verywell known in that style of music, such as, Raya, Petro Ivanovitch, Biélka,Tzar, Adama. He also recorded with Anna Prucnal and a flamenco guitarist Manel Delgado within the band Airé.
